    LAUSD Covid-19 Testing

    The LAUSD has launched an initiative to provide COVID-19 testing to students, staff as well as family members of students and staff who test positive or show symptoms.

    No Mobile Team COVID Testing at our school this week.  Per LD West Office of COVID Response, students and staff should be able to continue to get a daily pass based on test results from Mobile Team testing done on Wednesday, 9/1/21.

    Unfortunately, we do not have sufficient staff to manage delivery of birthday goody bags, cupcakes and treats to classes.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    BTB Youth Services (YS) Program After-School Parent Pick-Up Times from the Colgate Avenue Staff Parking Lot Gate will follow the schedule below.  Parents cannot access the yard outside of these pick-up times.  School and Got Game Staff at the Colgate Avenue Welcome Desk will no longer radio requests for YS students for pick-up.  Parents will meet YS Coach Chelsea at the times below to request students for pick-up.






    Please continue to regularly check for upcoming events and information on the LAUSD website, our school website; Schoology and Blackboard Connect email or voicemail messages, teacher communication and hard copy flyers sent home. 

    Our Morning Drop-Off Valet Program is on hold until further notice.  Due to the sidewalk space required for the Daily Pass check-in process, we are unable to safely implement our Morning Drop-Off Program at this time.


    Grades TK, Kindergarten & 1st 

    • Colgate Avenue Gate dismissal for TK, K and 1st grades is being moved to the Colgate Avenue Driveway Gate.
    • Parents will stand behind the blue tape line, listen for the verbal announcement of which class is exiting and keep the exit gate area clear, so it is easier to make eye contact with the parents of the class exiting.

    Grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th

    • Ogden Drive Gate dismissal for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades is being changed to two gates on Ogden Drive.
    • 2nd & 3rd Grades will exit the Request Gate, the Northern Odgen Drive Gate closer to Kmart Shopping Center alley)
    • 4th & 5th Grades will exit the Reunion Gate, the Southern Odgen Drive Gate closer to Colgate Avenue)
    • Parents will stand behind the blue tape area and keep the gates clear.
    • Parents, please talk to your child to identify and agree upon a spot, at least a short distance away from his/her/their dismissal gate where you will meet each other.
    • Note that school staff do not provide adult-to-adult hand-off support at the Ogden Drive dismissal gates.

    For families with multiple students, older students can enter the Colgate Avenue Gate and exit the Colgate Avenue Driveway Gate with their younger siblings.

We ask that there is ONLY one person per household and no children or strollers.

    If you apply after the window closes, you will not receive WAITLIST points.
